Hawthorn Muscat English Centre is a joint operation formed in 2002 between Hawthorn English Language Centres, and Mubarak Juma Bahwan Group of Companies. Hawthorn English Language Centres are now owned by Navitas, a leading provider of educational courses in Australia.
Hawthorn Muscat courses are designed to encourage students to think in and use English for a variety of purposes.
Each focuses on developing the four macro skills through authentic language in real situations, by way of themes reflecting students’ needs and interests.
Computer Assisted Language Learning, language laboratory work and homework are integrated into the classroom syllabus, providing further opportunities for students to practice and extend their skills. Students complete assessment tasks or quizzes regularly and there is a mid-course and an end-of-course test. Final grades are based on the tests together with input from the class teacher.
